Tap the + to open the build menu, choose the type of building you want to place and move it to your desired location.
Some buildings need specific placement, such as water utilities near water or train stations next to tracks. This information is provided in the building menu for each type.
Buildings turn green if they can be placed and red if they cannot.
To clone a building, tap the building, then tap the + button. Move the cloned building to your desired location.
Tap a building twice to move it. You can drag it to a new spot or tap the tile where you want it to go. To rotate, tap the building twice, then tap the rotate button.
To delete a building, tap it, then tap the trash can button. Multi-select buildings to remove several at once. This action is permenant.
Tap the road button to open the transport selection menu and select your desired transportation option.
Railways can be built over roads but not bridges. Bridges automatically form over water if there are no obstructions and the water is wide enough. Suspension bridges appear over longer water spans.
Your city starts on a 20x20 grid and can expand to 200x200 tiles, offering a massive 40,000-tile playing area. Tap a locked area and purchase it to expand your city.
The more you build, the better your city becomes. Higher costs reflect the uniqueness of your growing city, balanced by increased income generation.
The city advisor offers hints every 2 minutes to help you build a balanced city. Warnings include staffing issues, transportation issues, low resources, and coverage issues. You can turn off the advisor in the settings menu if no longer needed. If your city is short staffed that means you do not have enough residents to fill your employment. If your city has unemployment this means you have more residents than jobs. Both of these situations will reduce your income until it is fixed.
The warehouse temporarily stores buildings, useful for city redesigns. Tap a building, then the box icon to store it. Your warehouse can contain up to 150 slots (with each slot holding multiples of the same building) and each additional storage spot needs to be unlocked. You can delete buildings from the warehouse, but this action is permanent.
Money and gold are the main currencies. Most buildings will yield money, however, certain buildings yield gold. Gold can be exchanged for money in the exchange at any time. When you have a stock exchange in your city you can exchange money for gold when you reach level 100. Additional currencies can be purchased if needed.
Diamonds are the game's premium currency. They can be generated in the launch/space pads, diamond mine and diamond exchange. The diamond exchange building unlocks the diamond exchange and is available at level 50. Additional diamonds can be purchased if needed.
They can also be earned by completing contracts in your gold transportation and military buildings. Each time you collect your income from these buildings there is a small chance that you will receive a diamond. This is proportional to the buildings initial purchase cost.
Buildings in the farming category will yield food. Food can either be sold or saved and later, exchanged for diamonds. You will need a diamond exchange in your city to unlock the exchange and have reached player level 50.
Note: If you have sold your food it cannot then be used in the diamond exchange.
Log in daily to claim rewards in money or gold. Rewards increase daily and are based on game days, not calendar days.
Earn free gold by watching ads or putting out fires in other cities. You can watch up to 30 ads per day. You can put out up to 100 fires daily, with every 5th fire granting gold. These limits will reset when you receive your next daily bonus.
Complete challenges and achievements to earn money and gold. Tap the trophy icon to view them and check the requirements.
The bar graph icon provides an overview of your city's stats, finances, and requirements. RCI bars indicate which building types are in demand or in excess.
Trade surplus resources for additional income. Contracts last 5 minutes and renew automatically while playing. You can also purchase resources for your city, these also last 5 minutes and automatically renew.
Use the eye tool to see your city's zones and building upgrades. You can also move or delete buildings, zone trees and manage your transportation while using it. If you enable the enhanced eye tool you can cycle through each category of building. For example, you can limit the game to only show your residential buildings.
Advanced mode displays building happiness, ecology, and service coverage. Pollution (red) and ecology (green) are visualized on the ground around buildings.
Use the bulldoze tool to rezone areas of your city. This removes everything except buildings in the selected area.
Use the forest tool to quickly add large areas of trees. You can vary the density of the forest.
Rapid build allows repeated placement of the same building, perfect for creating rows of houses or forests.
Tap your player level to rename your city, view visitors and ratings, and track your city's progress.
GDP is the total value your city generates in one year. Increase it by boosting income or reducing the population. GDP per capita is calculated by dividing GDP by the number of residents.
Residential buildings provide housing for your population. They are heavily affected by pollution and should be placed away from industrial areas. To maximize happiness, group them together and surround them with parks, trees, and decorations.
Commercial buildings create medium-density jobs and are mildly affected by pollution. Keep them away from industrial buildings for best results. These buildings yield income more quickly than industrial buildings, but less overall.
Industrial buildings provide high-density jobs and are unaffected by pollution. They should be grouped together and placed away from residential areas.
Farming buildings create low-density jobs and supply your city with food. They can be placed anywhere and are unaffected by pollution. Farming jobs count as industrial employment.
Community buildings provide low-density jobs and boost happiness in surrounding areas. They are mildly affected by pollution and can be placed anywhere. Community jobs count as commercial employment.
Utility buildings provide low-density jobs and essential services like water, power, and trash management. Some power stations are highly polluting and should be placed far from residential zones, while others use eco-tech to reduce pollution.
Transport buildings improve city happiness by reducing road traffic and pollution. Rail networks efficiently move residents, while airports and spaceports manage incoming and outgoing traffic. Airports require a runway of at least 5 tiles to function. Piers will spawn ships only if the exit is facing open water.
Decorations like parks and trees boost happiness and ecology. Use them liberally to neutralize pollution and enhance city happiness.
Special buildings, purchased with diamonds, offer enhanced capacity for population, employment, or happiness.
Premium buildings are unlocked with a single in-app purchase. They offer exceptional capacity for population, employment, or happiness. They are exclusive and provide the best benefits.
Most buildings decrease happiness, increase pollution, and consume resources. To counterbalance, add community buildings, decorations, and utilities as your city grows. Ensure buildings have adequate police, fire, education, and health coverage for maximum happiness.
Buildings that cost gold will provide much more population, employment or happiness. They will also have free upgrades and place much lower demands on city services than normal buildings.
Buildings can be upgraded to level 10. Upgrades increase capacity, employment, happiness, and ecology. City service upgrades expand their coverage area.
A building's area of effect is shown as a circle when selected. White circles indicate city service coverage, which expands with upgrades.
Open the leaderboard and tap the visit button next to a city to explore it. You can like and rate the city or add it to your friends list for easy access later. The friends list is also in the leaderboard.
While visiting, put out fires to earn free money and gold. To see who visited your city, check your city progress window by tapping your player level.
If you can't visit other cities, you might be offline, or their game version may be newer - try updating your game.

To reset your city, choose "Reset City..." and select either an easy or hard reset:
Easy Reset: Keeps your player level, resources, unlocked buildings, warehouse contents, and unlocked land. You'll start fresh on a blank world but retain these progress points.
Hard Reset: Fully restarts your game, resetting to player level 1. All resources and unlocked items are reset to their initial state.
After choosing your reset type, select a new landscape, such as inland, rivers, coastline, or islands. You can further customize land type, water amount, and tree density.
The settings menu allows you to customize your gameplay experience. You can adjust detail levels to modify animations or disable them entirely. Use this menu to connect your game to Google Play/Apple for syncing across devices.
The game supports 11 languages. If the game doesn't load in your language, change it in the settings menu.
Android: Tap the back button, and a pop-up will notify you that your city is saving and backing up to our servers (if your device is connected to the internet).
iOS: Press the home button. Unfortunately, a notification cannot be displayed on iOS due to system limitations.
Important: Avoid "force closing" the game, as this may interrupt the saving process and result in lost progress. "Force closing" refers to shutting down the game via your app manager.
